Each month’s gathering will feature a different garden, so be sure to join us to check out all the different varieties of plants, ways of setting up systems, and to meet other plant enthusiasts in your community.

August Garden Gathering

Featuring Levon & Meg’s Homestead

3097 Pigeon Point Rd., Eureka

Sunday, August 9, 12-4 pm

Join us for our fourth Garden Gathering Sunday, August 9, at the home of Levon and Meg in Eureka!

This gathering will provide inspiration for anyone interested in implementing permaculture principles on a relatively small plot of land.

While they started with just grass and a few fruit trees, the couple has worked over the last 19 years to grow a 1-acre permaculture demonstration farm and homestead (with another 1.5 acre of forested land). Come check out what they’ve built and grown, along with current projects, including expanding their rainwater catchment system and regenerative food forest.

Directions & parking: Levon and Meg’s driveway is exactly one mile up Pigeon Point Rd. on the left side (at 3097 Pigeon Point Rd., Eureka). Take the first left after their mailbox, go up the driveway and park at the visitor parking sign for 3097.

Please note: The location will include a gravel driveway, some paved pathways, mulched garden paths and uneven ground. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a selection of plants for sale to bring home! Feel free to bring a notebook, cameras and questions to learn about how YOU can make a permaculture oasis on your own land!
